PHL Mobile

Your IBM i applications in the field, configured without code

You configure the application in a studio — interfaces, tables, queries, actions, rights — and the mobile device interprets it. Data works locally to keep running offline, then syncs with DB2 for i, conflicts included.

Key features

What PHL Mobile can do

Configuration studio

Interfaces, components, queries, local tables, actions, translations and rights are all set in a configurator. Each interface gets its route automatically.

Configurable data tables

Sortable, searchable or hidden columns, conditional colouring by row or by cell, redirection to another interface and attached actions.

Actions on data

Create, update and delete, with a fetch query, an action query, confirmation before execution, a success message, execution on one or several items — and the choice of whether to allow the action offline.

Offline and synchronisation

Data is kept in a local database on the device, with a configurable retention period. On reconnection, synchronisation detects conflicts — the same row changed by two users — and shows the original value, the database value and the value entered locally.

Barcodes, QR and Data Matrix

A form field triggers the scan, with a multi-code mode to chain readings without returning to the screen between each one.

Handwritten signature

A resizable signature area, with clear and re-sign: proof of delivery or of service is captured on the spot.

Mapping

Markers by address or coordinates with translatable tooltips, polygons and circles with colours and opacity — for delivery rounds or service areas.

Rights and multilingual

Rights per user or group on access to the application, to interfaces and to actions, applied immediately. A translatable interface, with import and export of translations.

Versions and test environment

Each version is tested on a dedicated environment before being released to all users, and the configuration can be exported to a file to be replayed or duplicated.
